Senior Director, Sales and Business Development - The Cigna Group Remote

Lead CarepathRx’s sales organization across specialty pharmacy, infusion, and health-system solutions. Drive enterprise growth, strategic partnerships, and revenue expansion.

Description

  • Develop and execute CarepathRx’s enterprise sales strategy
  • Set annual and multi-year sales goals, revenue targets, pipeline objectives, and service-line growth plans
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, customer trends, and emerging opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new business with hospitals, health systems, provider organizations, and strategic partners
  • Expand CarepathRx’s presence within existing client organizations and diversify revenue streams
  • Lead complex sales pursuits, contract negotiations, executive presentations, and strategic business development initiatives
  • Turn growth objectives into commercial strategies and market expansion plans
  • Support new service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and integrated solutions
  • Partner with Operations, Pharmacy Services, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Implementation teams
  • Align commercial strategy with operational capabilities
  • Forecast demand, evaluate market opportunities, and prioritize investments that support growth
  • Influence enterprise decisions that strengthen scalability, client outcomes, and organizational performance
  • Define and track sales, revenue, membership, and client growth metrics
  • Apply data and market insights to assess sales effectiveness and identify growth opportunities
  • Deliver performance updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
  • Maintain effective pipeline management, sales processes, and forecasting discipline
  • Recruit, develop, and retain sales and business development talent
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities, promote continuous improvement, and manage succession planning across the sales function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership
  • At least 5 years leading large, complex sales teams or commercial organizations
  • Preferred experience with hospitals, health systems, specialty pharmacy, infusion, ambulatory pharmacy, or pharmacy services organizations
  • Preferred experience leading enterprise sales strategies across multiple products or service lines
  • Demonstrated success creating and executing sales strategies that deliver substantial revenue growth
  • Experience developing and managing executive-level customer relationships
  • Strong record of leading complex sales cycles and strategic negotiations
  • Experience in healthcare services, health systems, specialty pharmacy, infusion services, healthcare technology, or related healthcare sectors
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executive stakeholders
  • For home-based work, cable broadband or fiber-optic internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
  • Willingness to travel 40%–50% nationally within the United States
