Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for wearable sensing devices
  • Integrate microcontrollers and sensors while implementing real-time data acquisition
  • Build dependable device-to-cloud communication and streaming for synchronized vision and tactile data
  • Design and operate AWS infrastructure with EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core
  • Manage large-scale multimodal data collection, storage, and processing with emphasis on scalability, security, and performance
  • Develop APIs, ingestion services, and Python pipelines for reliable, high-throughput processing
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain device fleets and data-capture setups at real-world collection sites
  • Turn field problems into practical engineering fixes
  • Diagnose issues spanning device firmware, connectivity, and cloud deployment
  • Partner with hardware, machine learning, and data teams to define system requirements
  • Support testing, documentation, and ongoing improvements to data-collection infrastructure
  • Own technical delivery for regional deployments
  • Travel to collection sites occasionally as needed

Requirements

  • At least four years of engineering experience spanning embedded systems and cloud technologies
  • Advanced embedded and firmware expertise with C or C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, real-time systems, sensor integration, and low-level programming
  • Practical AWS experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, IoT Core, and dependable high-throughput data pipelines
  • Strong software engineering background in Python or a comparable language, including APIs, streaming services, and hardware-to-cloud integration
  • Understanding of networking, security practices, performance optimization, monitoring, and logging
  • Proven ability to debug across hardware, firmware, and cloud layers
  • High ownership and the ability to work independently in a remote-first, distributed environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent English proficiency
  • Korean or Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
  • Experience with robotics, tactile or force sensing, wearables, or IoT devices is an advantage
  • Experience developing real-world data-collection systems is an advantage
  • Exposure to machine learning data pipelines or robot-learning datasets is an advantage
  • Experience deploying and supporting field hardware, including remote device management, is an advantage
