Senior Accounting Manager – SPV Reporting & IT Projects | EVgo Remote

- Lead multiple accounting teams or a complex accounting function
- Direct the complete general ledger close process
- Provide technical accounting guidance across a diverse range of responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, develop, and hold accounting staff accountable for results
- Coordinate priorities, staffing, and workflows across assigned teams
- Review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
- Resolve escalated accounting matters and investigate unusual or non-standard transactions
- Build agreement on accounting treatments and address dependencies between teams
- Ensure close deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet quality expectations
- Oversee SOX documentation and testing in coordination with internal audit
- Act as the primary management liaison for external auditors
- Detect control deficiencies and lead remediation efforts
- Direct close-process improvements, automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate with the Controller, FP&A, tax, legal, and operations teams
- Support ERP improvements and integrations with operational data systems
- Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned
आवश्यकताएँ
- At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 or more years managing managers or multiple accounting teams, or equivalent professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; a master’s degree or MBA is advantageous
- CPA licensure is strongly preferred
- Experience working in a public-company environment with direct Big Four audit coordination
- Previous leadership of accounting-system implementation or enhancement projects
- Proven success developing accounting managers and building high-performing accounting teams
- Relevant education or training in accounting, finance, or a related field may substitute for a formal degree
- Strong command of US GAAP, including ASC 360, ASC 842, and financial close processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage several accounting teams, develop managers, and establish accountability in a close-cycle environment
- Extensive SOX 404 experience covering control design, documentation, testing, and remediation
- Proficiency with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, along with strong data-analysis capabilities
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across teams and functions
- Travel of up to 15% may be required
