Tavsif

  • Lead multiple accounting teams or a complex accounting function
  • Direct the complete general ledger close process
  • Provide technical accounting guidance across a diverse range of responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor, develop, and hold accounting staff accountable for results
  • Coordinate priorities, staffing, and workflows across assigned teams
  • Review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
  • Resolve escalated accounting matters and investigate unusual or non-standard transactions
  • Build agreement on accounting treatments and address dependencies between teams
  • Ensure close deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet quality expectations
  • Oversee SOX documentation and testing in coordination with internal audit
  • Act as the primary management liaison for external auditors
  • Detect control deficiencies and lead remediation efforts
  • Direct close-process improvements, automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Controller, FP&A, tax, legal, and operations teams
  • Support ERP improvements and integrations with operational data systems
  • Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Talablar

  • At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 or more years managing managers or multiple accounting teams, or equivalent professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; a master’s degree or MBA is advantageous
  • CPA licensure is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a public-company environment with direct Big Four audit coordination
  • Previous leadership of accounting-system implementation or enhancement projects
  • Proven success developing accounting managers and building high-performing accounting teams
  • Relevant education or training in accounting, finance, or a related field may substitute for a formal degree
  • Strong command of US GAAP, including ASC 360, ASC 842, and financial close processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several accounting teams, develop managers, and establish accountability in a close-cycle environment
  • Extensive SOX 404 experience covering control design, documentation, testing, and remediation
  • Proficiency with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, along with strong data-analysis capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across teams and functions
  • Travel of up to 15% may be required
