Descriere

  • Lead the seven-person Cloud Engineering team across disciplinary and functional matters.
  • Coach employees, conduct performance reviews, support development, and handle personnel reporting.
  • Oversee recruitment and plan workforce, capacity, and resources strategically.
  • Build a high-performing engineering culture centered on service and customer needs.
  • Develop the service and performance portfolio with the Business Line.
  • Maintain knowledge and competency management across the team.
  • Set and uphold professional and methodological standards and best practices.
  • Encourage innovation and track emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with Axians Somnitec AG’s normative, regulatory, and strategic requirements.
  • Support budget planning, investment choices, and strategic development for the area.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and organization-wide knowledge sharing.
  • Manage escalations involving complex technical or organizational issues.
  • Continuously improve departmental processes, policies, and governance models.
  • Shape technical solutions and advise on challenging projects.

Cerințe

  • Several years of leadership experience and hands-on work in engineering or infrastructure.
  • IT industry experience, preferably in managed services.
  • Completed higher professional education (HF/FH) in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams or specialist departments.
  • Knowledge management, competency development, or talent management experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical specialists.
  • Strong interest in standardization, quality management, and automation.
  • Analytical, organized, and focused on practical solutions.
  • Very good spoken and written German and English.
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial, and collaborative outlook.
  • Takes ownership and delivers reliably.
  • Leads by example in upholding values, standards, and expectations.
  • Able to develop employees and encourage personal responsibility.
  • Addresses conflict openly, makes clear decisions, and follows through consistently.
