Accounts Receivable Specialist - Remote (United States)

Manage invoicing, billing reconciliations, collections, and customer account accuracy for Medcor’s healthcare operations. Support Finance with customer communication, account maintenance, and month-end and year-end close activities.

Prepare bi-weekly and monthly customer invoices, returns, and adjustments for assigned business lines
Audit bi-weekly and monthly timecards to verify billing accuracy
Interpret client contracts to validate billing requirements and invoice details
Develop and maintain billing templates for assigned business lines
Handle customer questions by phone and email, resolve billing concerns, and deliver responsive service
Conduct collection follow-ups by phone and email, obtain payment updates, and prepare monthly statements
Reconcile customer accounts with the General Ledger
Contribute to monthly and year-end closing activities
Work closely with Finance colleagues and cross-functional partners
Support training, process enhancement initiatives, and special projects as assigned
Coordinate with Sales, business unit leaders, IT, Legal, Finance, executive leadership, customers, accounts payable teams, and third-party payers

High school diploma or GED
Proficiency with Microsoft applications
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Well-developed organizational and time-management skills
Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
Careful attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining connected and accountable to the team
At least one year of related Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, or Billing experience is preferred
Experience with ERP platforms, ideally Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, is preferred
Familiarity with general accounting and accounts receivable practices is preferred
Experience in a high-volume billing or accounting environment is preferred
Strong organization, time management, and multitasking capabilities are preferred
An adaptable, positive, and proactive attitude is preferred
