VP, Home & Auto Platform Commercialization Leader at Synchrony

Synchrony is seeking a senior executive to lead commercialization for its Home & Auto platform. The role shapes growth strategy, client segmentation, product adoption, and cross-functional go-to-market execution.

Description

  • Own the overarching commercial strategy for Synchrony’s Home & Auto platform
  • Translate platform capabilities, market conditions, client needs, and enterprise priorities into a focused growth plan
  • Define target client profiles, priority use cases, opportunity industries, and client segments in partnership with Growth
  • Set the go-to-market approach for platform products
  • Manage the VPs responsible for Platform Commercialization - Product and Platform Commercialization - Marketing
  • Build and maintain the platform’s multi-year commercial strategy with the SI team
  • Develop commercialization strategies and positioning plans for clients and industries
  • Use market, competitive, client, and portfolio insights to uncover whitespace and address adoption barriers
  • Create prioritized roadmaps for product adoption, marketing enablement, sales and client activation, and measurement
  • Coordinate planning across Platform, Product, Growth, Sales and Client teams, Industry leaders, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics
  • Set priorities for the Product Strategist and Marketing Strategist while coaching and integrating their work
  • Prepare business cases and executive recommendations for commercialization investments, resource allocation, and go-to-market changes
  • Establish governance and operating cadences to evaluate performance and refine strategy
  • Counsel platform leadership on growth opportunities, commercialization choices, and portfolio tradeoffs
  • Lead client-facing presentations alongside client teams
  • Oversee commercial enablement content, client messaging, and market communications
  • Produce commercial strategies, client profiles, playbooks, positioning architecture, adoption roadmaps, scorecards, and executive decision materials
  • Increase qualified pipeline, product penetration, adoption, revenue, decision quality, cross-functional alignment, and market readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, strategy, finance, economics, or a related discipline; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with 15 years of related experience
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, growth strategy, product commercialization, management consulting, go-to-market, or consumer marketing
  • Experience directing complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders beyond formal reporting lines
  • People management experience with a record of establishing direction and developing high-performing strategic professionals
  • Experience managing client relationships, including presenting and selling complex ideas or programs
  • Ability and willingness to travel for business as needed
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Willingness to complete a drug test, background investigation, and fingerprinting during onboarding
  • Must meet Section 19 requirements of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States is required
  • Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Proven ability to connect market opportunities, client needs, product capabilities, and financial results
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, including market sizing, segmentation, business-case development, prioritization, and performance measurement
  • Expertise in enterprise and portfolio strategy
  • Sound commercial judgment and opportunity-prioritization skills
  • Experience with client and industry segmentation
