Vice President of IT — SERB Pharmaceuticals, Paris On-site

Lead global technology strategy, operations, cybersecurity, and transformation for SERB Pharmaceuticals, a rare-disease company. Oversee international teams, SAP S/4HANA, a global IT budget of approximately €3 million, and M&A integration.

Description

  • Set and deliver the Group’s technology vision
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT organisation across the UK, United States, France, and Australia
  • Maintain reliable, secure, and evolving infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and data and BI capabilities
  • Manage and optimise the approximately €3 million global IT budget
  • Define and implement IT strategy aligned with Group priorities
  • Contribute to strategic and operational governance
  • Direct IT planning and prioritise initiatives
  • Develop talent, succession plans, and capabilities across regions
  • Create and maintain an efficient, scalable IT operating model
  • Lead organisational change programmes
  • Oversee global IT operations and service improvement
  • Establish IT governance frameworks, objectives, and procedures
  • Direct enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery planning
  • Identify and prioritise technology investments that create value
  • Prepare business cases and cost-benefit analyses
  • Assess, manage, and communicate IT, cybersecurity, regulatory, and operational risks
  • Ensure IT systems and processes meet applicable laws, regulations, and Group standards
  • Advise senior leadership on technology trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration
  • Advance continuous improvement and innovation through emerging technologies
  • Monitor market trends, technologies, and cost benchmarks
  • Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of IT talent

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and people-management ability, including building and developing high-performing global teams
  • Pragmatic, hands-on leadership approach with a strong focus on delivery
  • High ownership and autonomy, with experience working effectively in lean, fast-paced organisations
  • Strong results orientation, urgency, and commitment to efficient execution
  • Track record of delivering complex, business-critical IT programmes and strategic transformations
  • Ability to partner with the business and translate organisational needs into technology solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal stakeholder-management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound financial acumen and advanced Excel proficiency
  • Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure in high-stakes or time-sensitive situations
  • Strong customer and service orientation
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Significant experience implementing and operating SAP S/4HANA in an international environment
  • Experience managing and optimising IT budgets across multiple countries or sites
  • Strong international business experience and demonstrated cultural awareness
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally approximately 25% of the time
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals or another regulated industry
  • Experience working in a private-equity-backed organisation
  • M&A experience, including due diligence and post-merger integration
  • Executive MBA or equivalent business-focused qualification
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Microsoft, Cisco, or SAP
