Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Site Installation | Rolls-Royce SMR

Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for installation methods and assembly integration for Rolls-Royce SMR’s small modular reactors. The role supports constructability, supplier engagement and site installation planning.

Description

  • Create methods, sequencing plans and installation strategies for on-site equipment assembly and integration
  • Develop practical installation methodologies
  • Embed constructability requirements in relevant activities
  • Assist integration work between engineering and construction teams
  • Contribute to Design for Manufacture and Assembly initiatives
  • Collaborate with construction and engineering teams to improve installability
  • Assist with supplier and contractor engagement
  • Report to the Senior Manufacturing Manager

Requirements

  • Experience working in a regulated or safety-critical setting
  • Background in manufacturing or installation engineering
  • Experience developing methods and planning processes
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholders
  • Experience assembling or installing large engineered products
  • Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Eligibility to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
  • Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Successful completion of a basic financial probity check
  • Willingness to travel regularly to suppliers
  • Willingness to make occasional international trips based on supplier activity
