Senior German Payroll Specialist - Poland Remote

Support end-to-end German payroll operations for Strada in a senior role based remotely in Poland. The position covers escalations, compliance, reporting, client support, and payroll implementations.

Description

  • Accurately and promptly support the German payroll lifecycle.
  • Assist with payroll activities and contribute to the wider payroll team.
  • Develop colleagues through training and coaching.
  • Act as an innovation champion within the team.
  • Deliver end-to-end German payroll support in line with service standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct and manage root cause analyses for issues escalated by clients.
  • Ensure agreed mitigating measures are put into practice.
  • Identify potential upsell opportunities and assist with change request processes.
  • Estimate and implement updates to the contractually defined service scope.
  • Work with standard and client-specific payroll reports, including statutory year-end reporting.
  • Keep current with legislation, system updates, procedural changes, and payroll practices.
  • Manage the payroll legislation roadmap.
  • Respond to payroll questions and requests from colleagues and clients.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with client engagement activities.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with appropriate care.
  • Resolve technical and functional issues escalated by colleagues and clients.
  • Maintain the client solution workbook and provide functional support.
  • Support and guide project implementations and go-live activities.
  • Contribute to assigned projects and operational activities.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of relevant payroll administration experience in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • German language skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team and work independently while following established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to support a global, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Current and future authorization to work in the application country without Strada visa sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of applicable background checks.
