Senior Business Development Executive, Quantum Sensing — Q-CTRL

Lead strategic sales, partnerships, and government business development for Q-CTRL’s quantum sensing business. Drive customer engagements, proposals, opportunity development, and collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Description

  • Identify and shape future opportunities for Q-CTRL’s quantum sensing business
  • Develop and secure new business opportunities
  • Build detailed knowledge of clients, technical and programmatic roadmaps, and the competitive landscape
  • Plan and manage ongoing engagements with existing and prospective customers
  • Track purchasing cycles and opportunity progression
  • Contribute to proposals and new-customer initiatives, including writing and reviewing RFI, RFP, and other responses
  • Help the team win new business
  • Work with product managers to uncover expansion opportunities among existing clients
  • Lead outreach, follow-ups, and sales-process interactions
  • Oversee customers using evaluation systems and support their success
  • Develop and manage partnerships with mapping companies
  • Represent Q-CTRL’s value and principles with clients, partners, competitors, and the public
  • Convert customer challenges into actionable internal plans and communicate requirements to product and engineering teams
  • Help set priorities, manage execution, keep stakeholders aligned, and track progress against key milestones

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of strategic sales or business development experience in sensors or related hardware technologies
  • Startup experience and a practical, resourceful working style
  • Expertise with complex engineering systems
  • Advanced degree in engineering or a related field
  • Military, contracting, Department of Defense, or government experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience with government business development, contract structures, and proposal processes
  • Demonstrated experience in sensing technologies
  • Strong writing ability, including white papers, technical reports, and RFI/RFP responses
  • Ability to work with a broad range of US and international customers
  • Navigation and C4ISR experience is a plus
