Senior Artificial Intelligence Architect – Hybrid at Boeing

Lead enterprise AI architecture for Boeing’s aerospace and defense operations, from machine learning and LLM solutions to production-scale deployments. Drive proofs of concept, scalable platforms, and agentic workflows across complex business environments.

Description

  • Architect end-to-end AI solutions spanning data ingestion, model training and fine-tuning, deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and machine learning infrastructure
  • Guide AI programs from initial proofs of concept through scalable enterprise production releases
  • Assess and recommend technologies across deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and generative AI
  • Own AI architecture, LLM and RAG pipelines, and agentic workflow orchestration for defined business needs
  • Create low-code and no-code abstraction layers, visual workflow components, and agent templates
  • Establish AI strategy, delivery roadmaps, and technology standards
  • Assess emerging AI/ML, agent frameworks, and automation platforms for potential adoption
  • Combine hands-on model development with coordination across business and technical teams
  • Develop functional proofs of concept and minimum viable products to test architecture and technical feasibility
  • Partner with executives, Data Science and IT teams, service tower leaders, vendors, and consultants

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and/or software development
  • At least 5 years integrating artificial intelligence hardware and software
  • At least 5 years in enterprise architecture, including cloud architecture, security, data privacy, integration, and deployment
  • At least 5 years developing information architectures and working with databases
  • At least 5 years using cloud-hosted platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
  • At least 3 years working with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
  • At least 3 years using modern programming or scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, or Visual Basic
  • At least 3 years researching and applying large language models and generative AI
  • Experience training machine learning models in cloud environments, with foundational MLOps knowledge
  • Preferred: 10 or more years of related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Preferred: experience with visual automation and conversational platforms
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 20%
  • Candidates must successfully complete the company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process
  • Must satisfy U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person
