Medical Writing Manager - Pfizer UK Remote
Lead medical writing, quality control, and document strategy for Pfizer’s clinical and regulatory materials. Support accurate, evidence-based medical decision-making through robust documentation.
Description
- Lead or co-lead moderately complex projects while managing timelines and resources
- Apply relevant expertise to support departmental activities
- Resolve moderately complex issues independently within established policies
- Complete assignments independently and seek guidance for unusual or complex issues
- Review your work, incorporate feedback, and mentor colleagues through work reviews
- Partner with project experts to shape document strategies and key messages
- Ensure documents meet internal standards, are submission-ready, and stored correctly
- Check document accuracy against source materials, including clinical regulatory documents and data
- Lead author teams on complex projects
- Conduct quality control reviews
- Help train colleagues on quality standards and processes
Requirements
- BA/BS or MBA/MS with some relevant experience; PhD/JD with any relevant experience; an associate degree with substantial relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent with extensive relevant experience
- Demonstrated pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience in document quality control and/or medical writing
- Experience working with cross-functional study team members
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks within defined objectives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A master’s degree is highly desirable
- Proficiency with software commonly used for data presentation and analysis
- Strong problem-solving ability and independence in ambiguous situations
- Experience leading or co-leading projects
- Experience training colleagues on quality standards and processes
- Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem-solving and productivity
- Curiosity about improving outcomes with AI tools and understanding responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
