Human Resources Coordinator - Sysco, Florida (Onsite)

Support HR operations at Sysco’s Florida operating company across onboarding, recruitment, compliance, leave administration, and employee engagement. This full-time onsite role also provides administrative and project support.

Description

  • Manage core HR transactions, including new-hire orientation, unemployment claims, onboarding and exit interviews, transitional return-to-work processes, leave administration, and OSHA reporting
  • Support hiring managers and Talent Acquisition with recruitment activities and staffing plans
  • Partner with the Human Resource Business Partner to foster an inclusive and diverse workplace culture
  • Administer initiatives designed to improve employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Provide technical, customer service, and general support for major initiatives and projects
  • Maintain compliance programs and monitor related records
  • Prepare and distribute memos, emails, letters, presentations, spreadsheets, surveys, and other communications
  • Track information, consolidate responses, follow up on outstanding data, and surface relevant insights
  • Coordinate administrative support for meetings, calls, video conferences, webinars, e-meetings, and new-hire orientation
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
  • Work in a front-desk office environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Two to three years of experience in HR generalist work, recruitment, or employee relations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to plan and organize work activities effectively
  • Ability to analyze and communicate numerical data
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures and policies
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, business writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal employment laws, with the ability to interpret related policies, procedures, and laws
  • Ability to deliver training programs and presentations to groups
  • Strong interpersonal, telephone, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, interruptions, and confidential information
  • Proficiency with PC systems, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 pounds
