Python AWS Developer

Build tested Python and AWS serverless solutions for Peregrine Advisors’ federal government clients, including APIs, data pipelines, automation, and CI/CD deployments.

Description

  • Move user stories from refinement into production.
  • Create cloud-native, event-driven serverless workflows with AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
  • Connect commercial off-the-shelf products with internally developed frameworks.
  • Design internal and external API integrations for modern system architectures.
  • Develop data and document pipelines that reduce paper-based manual work.
  • Create cloud-native systems designed for efficient, automated operations.
  • Maintain tested code through production and resolve defects as they arise.
  • Implement checks, validations, and workflows that replace manual tasks.
  • Release services through automated deployment pipelines.
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q Developer throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Contribute to new firm capabilities, tools, and business lines.
  • Explain work clearly to stakeholders while adapting across roles and client engagements.

Requirements

  • At least three years of software development experience.
  • Working proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and version control.
  • Familiarity with cloud development on Amazon Web Services.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts.
  • Ability to turn defined specifications into tested, production-ready code and maintain ownership through release.
  • U.S. citizenship for the initial engagement.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Preferred: AWS experience or certification.
  • Preferred: Federal information technology experience.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools.
