Coding Auditor and Educator

INTEGRIS Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator to lead coding audits, quality improvement, and coder education. The role supports compliance, reimbursement accuracy, and reliable healthcare data.

Description

  • Lead coding quality assurance and education programs across coding operations
  • Conduct detailed coding audits to evaluate accuracy, compliance, and performance patterns
  • Review audit results to uncover root causes and shape focused educational initiatives
  • Advise on complex coding cases while supporting organizational compliance efforts
  • Act as a coding authority on professional practices and regulatory standards
  • Partner with coders, providers, and leaders on audit and education activities
  • Provide practical feedback and instruction that strengthen coding accuracy and compliance
  • Track coding patterns and create improvements that enhance accuracy and performance
  • Monitor completion of audit recommendations and planned education activities
  • Strengthen coding quality through audit-based insights and standardized practices
  • Support compliant coding outcomes that influence reimbursement and data integrity
  • Advance continuous improvement through education and process enhancement

Requirements

  • At least four years of professional coding experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One of these certifications: AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CIC, AAPC-CPC, or AAPC-COC
  • Conduct coding quality reviews that evaluate accuracy, compliance, and performance patterns
  • Interpret audit results to determine underlying causes
  • Deliver focused education to coders and providers
  • Use coding guidelines and regulatory standards when performing audits
  • Provide expert guidance on complex coding cases
  • Preferred: experience conducting coding audits and delivering education
  • Preferred: experience evaluating coding quality trends and performance improvement
