Cyber Claims Specialist – Cyber Insurance Remote

Manage first-party cyber insurance claims for Converge Insurance’s technology-focused risk solutions. Evaluate coverage, guide claims from notification through resolution, and coordinate with customers, brokers, legal counsel, and specialist vendors.

Description

  • Manage a growing portfolio of primarily first-party cyber claims from initial notice through resolution.
  • Complete structured training and advance from supervised files to handling claims independently.
  • Evaluate coverage questions and prepare coverage letters and related communications.
  • Develop practical knowledge of primary and excess insurance claim environments.
  • Work with customers and brokers to achieve effective claim outcomes.
  • Coordinate external counsel and specialist providers, including forensic and incident response firms.
  • Partner with Operations to support efficient claim administration and reliable data quality.
  • Review portfolio performance, identify claim patterns, and communicate emerging trends.
  • Contribute claims expertise to policy wording and customized client solution development.
  • Work cross-functionally with Actuarial, Finance, and Risk Management teams.
  • Represent Converge at industry conferences, client events, and professional association activities as experience develops.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One to five years of comparable or related professional experience.
  • Highly responsive approach with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Calmness and sound decision-making during crises.
  • Excellent written communication skills for coverage letters and customer correspondence.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to obtain required adjuster licenses with employer support.
  • Capacity to learn quickly, seek feedback, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote role.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing capabilities.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A legal background, such as a J.D. or paralegal experience, or technical familiarity is advantageous.
  • Previous claims handling experience and knowledge of insurance are advantageous.
  • Strong task and project management abilities with a goal-focused approach are advantageous.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
