Credit Risk Specialist – Nomura, Mumbai (Onsite)

Description

  • Perform daily variance analysis on key credit exposure metrics using dynamic thresholds and the Outliers and Explains methodology
  • Prepare variance explanations for NEHS, NHI, and Local Regulatory Capital teams across daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Analyze excess management queries, exposure requests, and adjustment issues for Credit Risk Management
  • Work with regional and global teams to assess portfolio movements and resolve related issues
  • Manage and oversee data-quality adjustments affecting in-scope credit risk exposure metrics
  • Review new trade bookings and structures from a trade-capture perspective with Credit Risk Managers and regional CRI teams
  • Partner with regional CRI teams on new-business assessments and provide data-based recommendations
  • Contribute to Risk Change Management activities and user acceptance testing for credit risk models and systems
  • Improve processes and procedures to increase operational efficiency

Requirements

  • 0–4 years of relevant experience
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA from a reputable institution
  • A technical background and strong quantitative skills are advantageous
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycles and trade attributes across Global Markets products, including OTC, SFT, Money Market, and Loans
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and traded products, including OTC and exchange-cleared products
  • Understanding of risk models and metrics sufficient to assess changes in counterparty exposure
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and the impact of emerging regulatory developments
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with large language models and knowledge of AI implementation are preferred
