Business Development Representative - St. Paul, MN (Hybrid)

PeopleReady is hiring a Business Development Representative to grow its on-demand labor and skilled-worker customer base in the St. Paul market. The role focuses on prospecting, account expansion, workforce-solution sales, and customer relationship development.

Description

  • Report to the Area Sales Manager
  • Acquire new customers and expand existing accounts across the local market
  • Build territory pipelines through networking, lead generation, and direct prospecting
  • Identify potential customers and opportunities for business growth
  • Strengthen customer relationships to support loyalty and account expansion
  • Execute sales strategies that achieve and exceed performance targets
  • Assess customer needs and recommend tailored workforce solutions
  • Sell PeopleReady service offerings
  • Work with PeopleReady contracts and legal teams to negotiate customer agreements
  • Apply competitive bill rates and margins to customer contracts
  • Share distinctive customer requirements with the appropriate branch
  • Pursue cross-selling opportunities across TrueBlue brands and nearby markets
  • Create account-management and sales plans to increase wallet share and retention
  • Conduct formal business reviews with key customers to evaluate results and uncover growth opportunities
  • Use relevant technology and tools to maintain account-growth and management plans
  • Track industry trends, competitor services, and market changes to position TrueBlue offerings
  • Coach other sales representatives and client-facing team members
  • Travel to customer locations and local branches as needed
  • Spend more than half of working time on outside sales and client engagement

Requirements

  • At least three years of related sales experience, a bachelor's or associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing a portfolio worth at least $2.5 million annually
  • Sales experience in one or more blue-collar market segments
  • Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets
  • Experience learning, adapting to, and applying new technologies
  • Valid driver's license, registered vehicle, and vehicle insurance
  • Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade varied customer stakeholders
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Analytical skills for evaluating order, associate, and customer data
  • Ability to build rapport with a broad range of people
  • Ability to understand diverse client viewpoints
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • Authorization to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
