Senior Billing Specialist
Manage accurate invoicing, audits, disputes, and billing systems for DSV’s transport and logistics operations. Improve billing processes and support the development of junior team members.
Opis
- Manage end-to-end billing, including invoices, adjustments, and credit memos.
- Verify billing data, rates, charges, and contract terms for accuracy and completeness.
- Review billing reports to spot discrepancies, trends, and opportunities to improve processes.
- Audit billing regularly for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Maintain billing systems and oversee their administration.
- Handle billing questions and escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
- Explain billing policies, procedures, and requirements to customers and internal teams.
- Investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Work with finance, operations, and customer service teams to address billing challenges.
- Improve billing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Establish and apply effective billing practices and operational standards.
- Train and assist junior billing staff.
- Coach and mentor team members.
- Prepare billing reports, metrics, and analyses for management.
- Use billing data to recommend actions and inform decisions and strategic planning.
Zahteve
- At least 3–5 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable.
- Strong knowledge of billing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with billing software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Careful, accurate data entry and analysis skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with software for invoice generation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Transportation or logistics industry experience and knowledge of freight billing processes and regulations are preferred.
- Billing or accounts receivable management certification is preferred.
