Principal CX/UX Designer – API Developer Platform (Hybrid)
Lead the experience strategy for Wolters Kluwer’s Tax & Accounting API developer platform. Shape developer journeys across APIs, portals, SDKs, documentation, and AI-enabled workflows.
Descriere
- Set the design vision and strategy for the Tax & Accounting API Developer Platform
- Create experiences for APIs, developer portals, documentation, SDKs, and AI tools
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on API contracts and roadmap direction
- Conduct research with developers, administrators, and partners
- Test concepts through prototypes and usability studies
- Design the complete developer journey from discovery and authentication to API calls, debugging, and monitoring
- Establish consistent patterns for APIs, documentation, code examples, errors, and permissions
- Work with engineers through delivery and refine solutions using real-world usage data
- Define and monitor measures such as time to first successful API call, adoption, and developer satisfaction
- Apply AI tools to research and prototyping while retaining ownership of design decisions
- Guide senior stakeholders and create alignment across product and organizational teams
- Coach designers and strengthen technical design capability across the team
Cerințe
- At least 10 years of UX or product design experience leading complex B2B, enterprise, or developer-platform products
- A portfolio demonstrating measurable design impact
- Demonstrated experience designing APIs, developer portals, SDKs, or technical documentation
- Practical understanding of REST, authentication, and error handling
- Advanced skills in information architecture, user flows, and high-fidelity prototyping with code and AI tools
- Extensive experience conducting developer interviews, usability testing, and data analysis
- Experience creating scalable design patterns and standards adopted by multiple teams
- Ability to influence executives and technical leaders, establish cross-team direction, and mentor designers
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
