Descriere

  • Develop AI features spanning model inference, retrieval, and intelligent applications.
  • Build production infrastructure for model serving, embeddings, RAG, and AI automation.
  • Write performant, well-tested code in Python, Java, C++, or Go.
  • Contribute to enterprise-scale systems across Snowflake’s multi-cloud infrastructure.
  • Turn research and product needs into scalable solutions with researchers, engineers, and product managers.
  • Review designs and recommend architectural improvements.
  • Help guide the technical direction of AI services.
  • Own delivery from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
  • Assess AI and machine learning methods, models, and tools for Snowflake’s platform and customers.
  • Support code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, and ongoing improvements to team practices.

Cerințe

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience building production systems.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Production experience with AI/ML systems such as model serving, inference pipelines, LLM integration, embedding systems, or AI-powered application features.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, C++, or Go.
  • Experience building distributed systems or cloud-native services.
  • Understanding of scale, reliability, and performance in multi-cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear engineering tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, researchers, and product managers.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ownership of work from design through production.
  • Commitment to quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Production-scale experience with LLM inference, fine-tuning, RAG architectures, or vector search is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other machine learning frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and Docker or Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Background in data platforms, data warehousing, or SQL-based systems is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and production monitoring or observability is preferred.
  • Open-source AI/ML contributions or published AI/ML research are preferred.
