Aprašymas

  • Support the CDC INFO program, the CDC’s national contact center for science-based health information
  • Answer complex clinical questions by phone and in writing for consumers, educators, and health professionals
  • Contribute medical subject matter expertise
  • Conduct advanced database searches
  • Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Record all incoming inquiries
  • Use established scripts, protocols, and approved resources
  • Take part in special projects as needed
  • Work an assigned Monday–Friday shift of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 11:30 AM–8:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Attend all sessions of the two-week training period

Reikalavimai

  • Experience in a medical, scientific, or public health field
  • Clinical knowledge of and experience with CDC-related topics
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Current, active RN license
  • Strong internet research skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use software applications
  • Excellent listening, comprehension, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Fluent, clear, and professional spoken and written English and Spanish
  • Smartphone for logging into Maximus systems
  • Personal computer, webcam, and headset with microphone
  • Tablets, iPads, and Chromebooks are not permitted
  • Internet speed of at least 25 Mbps, or 50 Mbps with shared connectivity
  • Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps
  • Wired internet connection using a Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cable
  • Private, secure workspace and adequate power supply
  • Windows 10 or 11, or a supported Mac operating system
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of experience
  • Fluency in English and the specified secondary language
  • Call center, telehealth, or phone support experience preferred
