AI Engineer, German-Speaking – GenAI & Agentic AI (Romania Remote)
Build production-grade generative and agentic AI systems for Wavestone’s regulated-industry clients. You’ll work across RAG, APIs, cloud infrastructure, evaluation, and enterprise integrations.

- Design agentic AI systems that interpret documents, assist decisions, and perform actions in enterprise environments
- Deliver production-ready GenAI solutions that plan workflows, use tools, and prepare or execute business actions
- Create RAG pipelines and extraction workflows that structure and verify data from documents, emails, and forms
- Integrate platforms including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Kafka with AI applications
- Build dependable backend services and APIs
- Connect AI capabilities to existing systems through REST APIs, event-driven integrations, or MCP
- Measure and improve AI quality with automated evaluations, guardrails, tracing, and human review workflows
- Maintain software quality through testing, peer reviews, logging, and monitoring
- Incorporate AI-assisted development tools into everyday engineering work
- Automate infrastructure and releases using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD across public cloud, sovereign, and on-premises environments
- Partner with architects, business stakeholders, and client delivery teams
- Produce clear documentation for system designs and interfaces
- Contribute technical knowledge and practices across the team
Талаптар
- A degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a comparable discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- At least five years of professional software development experience
- One to two years of practical experience delivering LLM applications beyond the prototype phase
- Advanced Python development skills
- Working knowledge of Java, C#, or .NET in addition to Python
- Professional experience designing and building APIs and system interfaces
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, or model-provider agent SDKs
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, and MCP
- Practical experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience using containers and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience implementing CI/CD with tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with test automation, error handling, and structured root-cause analysis
- A strong focus on measuring AI system quality and business results
- Business-fluent German at C1 level or higher
- Very good English communication skills
- Experience operating or fine-tuning open-weight models, or working in sovereign cloud environments, is advantageous
- Experience with document and information extraction, OCR, layout analysis, or multimodal models is advantageous
- Background in regulated industries is advantageous
- Cloud or AI certifications are advantageous
