Vertical Operations Manager, West

Lead delivery, installation, and lifecycle field service operations for UVeye’s AI-powered vehicle inspection systems. Oversee teams, vendors, service levels, costs, and deployment performance across automotive operations.

Description

  • Drive delivery, installation, and lifecycle service execution across assigned business verticals
  • Complete installations on schedule, maintain SLA compliance, expand delivery capacity, and meet cost targets
  • Coordinate planning, resources, safety, and quality for installation and maintenance work
  • Complete Rental and Dealership installations within two days and Fleet installations within four days
  • Define maintenance visit scopes and deliver on-time, first-time-right service
  • Partner operationally with Sales and Implementation
  • Validate sales commitments, surface risks, and convert commitments into executable operating plans
  • Lead Field Service Engineers and Service Operations Coordinators
  • Reach 80% utilization, maintain technical readiness, and build effective capacity plans
  • Manage installation partners and contractors while tracking vendor cost, quality, and delivery
  • Meet operating targets for on-time delivery, first-time fixes, and cost per installation
  • Put proactive corrective measures into practice
  • Travel to customer and operational sites as business needs require

Requirements

  • At least five years leading field operations, service delivery, or technical operations teams
  • Background managing distributed Field Service Engineers or comparable technical field teams
  • Experience in automotive, fleet, rental, dealership, or a similar operations environment
  • Record of leading cross-functional work across Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and Operations
  • Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and operational forecasting
  • Strong command of SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance measurement
  • Experience overseeing high-volume deployment, installation, or field service programs
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and installation partners
  • Proficiency with ERP, CRM, or Field Service Management systems
  • Strong analytical ability and data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and escalation management skills
  • Willingness to travel to on-site locations as business needs require
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or another project management certification is advantageous
  • Ability to work in or around vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, or warehouses
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and use personal protective equipment when required
