Technology Lawyer – Data Privacy and Adtech | Groupe TF1

Join Groupe TF1 as a technology lawyer advising on data privacy, digital projects, adtech contracts, and emerging technologies. The role supports GDPR compliance, AI initiatives, and operational teams across a French media group.

Description

  • Advise on data, new technologies, and personal data protection matters.
  • Draft and negotiate French- and English-language contracts within the assigned scope.
  • Prepare data trading, onboarding, tracker placement, programmatic advertising, and adtech IT agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate SaaS, software, licensing, and partner agreements.
  • Deliver legal guidance and practical support to operational teams.
  • Prepare legal memoranda with risk assessments and recommendations on available courses of action.
  • Assist with negotiations and project delivery involving personal data protection and artificial intelligence.
  • Oversee GDPR compliance in partnership with the DPO team.
  • Maintain records of personal data processing activities.
  • Prepare data protection impact assessments and help implement GDPR controls operationally.
  • Track legal and regulatory changes, evaluate their implications and opportunities, and brief operational teams.
  • Contribute to cross-functional Legal Department work, including contract policies, templates, and processes.
  • Advise and support the TF1 Group on strategic and operational priorities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent Bac+5 qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the GDPR, France’s Data Protection Act, ePrivacy, and CNIL guidance.
  • Knowledge of technology law.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, the law of obligations, and contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to make complex legal topics clear and accessible to non-specialists.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Careful, organized, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Ability to adapt effectively to operational needs.
  • Pragmatic, business-focused approach.
  • Genuine interest in emerging technologies.
  • Available from January 2027.
  • Ideally, four to five years of experience in a comparable position or law firm.
