Systems Analyst – Java Application Support (Hybrid, São Paulo)

Support Java applications by investigating N2 and N3 incidents across production systems that enable Brazil’s digital justice transformation. Diagnose applications, databases, integrations, and production failures.

Description

  • Provide application support for critical systems, investigating N2 and N3 incidents
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in Java, Spring Boot, and JSF applications
  • Review production logs, stack traces, exceptions, timeouts, and unexpected behavior
  • Run PostgreSQL queries and analyses to support diagnosis and controlled data corrections
  • Investigate HTTP/REST integrations and APIs, tracing failures and their cross-system impact
  • Perform root cause analyses and recommend corrective and preventive measures
  • Reproduce and document incidents involving code, integrations, or architecture
  • Monitor incident progress with the teams responsible for resolution
  • Develop and maintain runbooks, operating procedures, and technical FAQs
  • Assist Engineering and Infrastructure teams with complex incident investigations
  • Help manage major production crises and high-impact system instability
  • Join client and internal meetings, explaining technical situations clearly and objectively
  • Identify ways to improve system stability, performance, security, and support operations
  • Share technical knowledge with Support, Development, Product, and Infrastructure teams
  • Apply artificial intelligence tools to log analysis, failure investigation, and recurring-task automation
  • Learn business rules for judicial proceedings and integrations with PJe, eProc, SAJ, or comparable systems

Requirements

  • Professional experience supporting production applications
  • Object-oriented Java knowledge, including the ability to read, interpret, and debug code
  • Experience with Java Enterprise and/or Spring Boot
  • Working knowledge of JSF and jQuery
  • Intermediate or advanced SQL skills, including joins, filters, grouping, and data analysis
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL
  • Ability to interpret application logs, stack traces, and metrics during incident diagnosis
  • Experience conducting investigations and root cause analyses
  • Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management, preferably within an ITIL-based framework
  • Familiarity with Git and Maven
  • Understanding of CI/CD and database migration tools such as Flyway or Liquibase
  • Experience using Jira or comparable ticketing and bug-management tools
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients
  • Analytical, investigative, self-directed, and solution-oriented approach
  • Experience with mission-critical applications or systems is advantageous
  • Experience in Brazil’s judicial technology ecosystem is advantageous
  • Knowledge of PJe, eProc, SAJ, or comparable legal systems is advantageous
  • Experience supporting microservices and integrations is advantageous
  • Knowledge of DevOps, observability, or application infrastructure is advantageous
  • Practical experience using AI for application support, troubleshooting, or automation is advantageous
  • Direct client-facing experience during critical incidents is advantageous
