Senior Manager, KYC – United States Remote

Lead KYC operations, AML compliance programs, regulatory reviews, and risk oversight for TD in a senior management role. Manage teams, audits, strategic initiatives, and enterprise-wide KYC activities.

Description

  • Lead and develop a team of KYC operations professionals
  • Build KYC operations frameworks and provide policy, regulatory, and specialist guidance
  • Direct complex KYC programs, allocate workflows, provide governance, and escalate issues
  • Oversee timely, risk-based KYC reviews in accordance with policy and regulatory standards
  • Recruit employees, set objectives, manage performance and compensation decisions, and address disciplinary matters
  • Ensure team deliverables are fit for purpose and ready for audits and regulatory review
  • Lead process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality
  • Work with senior leaders on complex, confidential, high-profile, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide subject-matter leadership and guide strategic discussions with executive audiences
  • Create and implement enterprise AML programs, procedures, and operating models
  • Oversee regulatory examinations, audits, findings, escalations, and risk mitigation plans
  • Research and introduce new processes and technologies
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leaders and regulatory authorities
  • Develop business and operating plans, budgets, and strategic initiatives
  • Track regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on the business
  • Coach, mentor, develop, and provide feedback to team members through performance reviews
  • Recruit and develop a diverse, high-performing FCRM team
  • Coordinate with business partners, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of direct management experience in financial services or a comparable industry, including fraud, KYC, AML, sanctions screening, or similar new-joiner roles
  • Alternatively, at least eight years of direct management experience in an unrelated role involving information fluency, investigation, research, or broad financial services experience without a specific KYC or AML focus
  • Advanced knowledge of KYC operations frameworks and specialized KYC program areas
  • Understanding of AML legislation, policies, regulatory obligations, and compliance programs
  • Experience managing risk-based KYC reviews
  • Background in people leadership, performance management, hiring, coaching, and employee development
  • Capacity to lead complex, confidential, high-profile, and enterprise-wide projects
  • Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day direction
  • Ability to create reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities
  • Ability to collaborate with auditors, regulators, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to perform sedentary work and continuously use standard office equipment
  • Occasional domestic travel required; international travel is not required
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions, apply common sense to standardized situations, and perform basic arithmetic
