- Create C++ collision-mitigation software for Caterpillar construction products in a Linux-based development environment
- Design, integrate, and verify perception features using camera and radar data
- Advance machine awareness, obstacle detection, and operator safety
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver autonomy-focused capabilities
- Apply ADAS concepts alongside ROS and ROS2 frameworks
Requirements
- Substantial experience building C++ applications in Linux environments
- Experience with camera-based perception, computer vision, or sensor integration
- Experience with radar systems, object detection, or collision-avoidance technologies
- Experience with automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Familiarity with ROS and/or ROS2
- Knowledge of analytical thinking methods and tools
- Knowledge of technology and application methodologies
- Knowledge of software development tools and practices
- Availability to work full-time from the Mossville, Illinois, or Irving, Texas, office
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Successful completion of a drug screening
- Work authorization or eligibility for visa sponsorship
