Description

  • Direct daily general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
  • Lead monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and review general-ledger reconciliations.
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and financial reporting.
  • Review, validate, analyze, and record transactions in journals, ledgers, and related records.
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
  • Prepare or review internal and external reports, including ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Support accounts receivable operations by maintaining accurate and timely billing.
  • Maintain the billing system and prepare and distribute invoices.
  • Keep client invoicing and payment records accurate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Track aging balances and evaluate collectability.
  • Ensure recorded revenue complies with US GAAP.
  • Support internal and external auditors during periodic reviews of financial records and statements.
  • Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to support effective cash-flow management.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, federal, and tax requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop assigned Finance team members.
  • Administer departmental policies and procedures while evaluating outcomes and performance.
  • Support the creation or revision of budgets, strategic plans, and policies.
  • Complete special projects and other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, healthcare finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in healthcare finance, accounting, treasury, or a related field.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance concepts and principles.
  • Ability to interpret and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to lead employees’ work and make personnel decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people-management capability.
  • Strong presentation preparation and delivery skills.
  • Strong accounting and finance expertise.
  • Sound judgment and effective problem-solving ability.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Outlook and Great Plains or an equivalent enterprise resource planning system.
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service with close attention to detail.
