Remote Service and Installation Technician

Description

  • Coordinate assigned service work by contacting customers, scheduling appointments, and organizing efficient daily routes
  • Record completed services, findings, parts used, and any required repairs or follow-up
  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair walk-in tubs and related products in customers’ homes
  • Diagnose mechanical, plumbing, and product issues and determine the appropriate corrective work
  • Maintain vehicle inventory and truck stock, track parts usage, and arrange the return of unused, defective, or replaced parts
  • Communicate clearly with customers while providing a professional service experience
  • Teach customers how to operate, use, and care for Safe Step products correctly
  • Recognize recurring product or installation problems and report findings to management
  • Complete installation, service, repair, and maintenance work as assigned
  • Support a five-star customer experience that encourages positive Safe Step service reviews
  • Perform driving responsibilities in accordance with company vehicle and safe-driving policies
  • Use vehicle cameras and telematics systems that monitor driving and safety performance

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience repairing equipment, troubleshooting technical problems, or resolving mechanical, plumbing, or residential service issues
  • Demonstrated strength in technical repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • A valid state-issued license is required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commitment to quality assurance and customer service
  • Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
