Operations Manager – Peterborough, On-site

Lead employment-support offices and contracts for Reed in Partnership in Peterborough. Oversee teams, performance, budgets, quality standards and stakeholder relationships.

Description

  • Manage the performance of multiple offices and contracts
  • Deliver contracts within budget and agreed quality standards
  • Resolve workflow challenges and support participant journey milestones
  • Coach, motivate and develop team members
  • Promote efficient operations and positive team dynamics
  • Monitor sales processes and help teams support participants into sustainable employment
  • Build professional relationships with internal stakeholders, employers and employer organisations
  • Oversee relevant financial resources and facilities
  • Drive team-level continuous improvement and contribute to wider organisational initiatives

Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing teams across multiple offices and contracts in the employment-support sector
  • Experience designing and implementing complex operational processes across multiple teams
  • Degree or relevant qualification
  • At least two A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
  • GCSE English Language at Grade B or above, an equivalent Level 2 qualification, or successful completion of a Level 2 Literacy Assessment at interview stage; international equivalents are also accepted
  • Demonstrated alignment with the Operations Manager attributes
  • Understanding of publicly funded contracts and OSTED standards where applicable
  • Strong administrative capability
  • Good computer and technology skills
  • Basic numeracy and spreadsheet skills
  • Good written communication and record-keeping skills
  • Interest in working with people and willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel
  • Desirable: experience delivering programmes for disadvantaged groups
  • Desirable: experience delivering foundation or vocational learning programmes
  • Desirable: ability to use technology to achieve results
  • Desirable: knowledge of the welfare and benefits system
  • Desirable: interest in career development and self-development
  • Desirable: personal circumstances permitting extensive travel within the UK
  • Desirable: fluency in more than one language
