Labcorp Specialty Development Executive, Rare Disease (Remote)

Drive Labcorp’s rare-disease genetic testing business with clinicians, hospitals, and healthcare organizations. Manage territory growth across Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.

Description

  • Sell rare-disease laboratory testing services to clinical and executive decision-makers.
  • Develop relationships with genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, pediatric subspecialists, regional medical groups, reference laboratories, and hospitals.
  • Achieve territory sales targets and maximize revenue growth.
  • Create and manage an annual business plan with quarterly revisions.
  • Generate new business through cold calling and pipeline development.
  • Forecast opportunities and maintain a sales funnel aligned with a 90-day quota.
  • Coordinate travel plans to support productive territory coverage.
  • Partner with Labcorp Clinical Sales colleagues on new opportunities.
  • Work with teammates to retain existing business.
  • Represent the company at approved local and national trade shows and industry events.
  • Present relevant value propositions to prospective and targeted customers.
  • Deliver in-service education, training, and implementation support to healthcare personnel and physicians.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records in Salesforce and related CRM data systems.
  • Provide continuing customer support, product education, and market intelligence.
  • Report to the Regional Director.
  • Promote and sell Labcorp Genetics and Rare Disease commercial offerings to clinicians and department staff.
  • Prospect, develop, and close individual monthly sales targets.
  • Conduct in-person physician visits and travel regularly throughout Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of medical outside sales experience.
  • At least one year of rare-disease experience, with relationships across hospital systems and genetics, cardiology, neurology, or pediatric subspecialty practices preferred.
  • Prior laboratory or diagnostics sales experience.
  • Experience in medical device and business-to-business sales.
  • Documented success managing an existing book of business.
  • Ability to work closely with sales and operations teams to expand the business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Recent, demonstrable sales achievements and performance results.
  • Well-developed consultative selling and closing abilities.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex scientific literature and apply extensive clinical data in the sales process.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
