Description

  • Lead the Cloud Engineering Competence Center.
  • Manage and guide a team of seven Cloud Engineers.
  • Coach employees, conduct performance reviews, support development, and handle HR reporting.
  • Oversee recruitment and plan workforce, capacity, and resources.
  • Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on service and customers.
  • Develop the service and performance portfolio with the Business Line.
  • Maintain team knowledge and capability management.
  • Set and uphold technical and methodological standards and best practices.
  • Encourage innovation and track emerging technologies and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with Axians Somnitec AG’s regulatory, strategic, and other applicable requirements.
  • Support budgeting, investment decisions, and strategic development for the area.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Resolve complex technical and organizational escalations.
  • Improve processes, policies, and governance models on an ongoing basis.
  • Contribute to technical solution design and advise on challenging projects.
  • Ensure dependable operations, ongoing development, and innovation across customer platforms.

Requirements

  • Several years of leadership and hands-on experience in engineering or infrastructure.
  • IT industry experience, preferably in managed services.
  • Advanced professional education (HF/FH) in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams and specialist functions.
  • Knowledge management, capability development, or talent management experience is an advantage.
  • A track record of leading technical specialists.
  • Strong interest in standardization, quality management, and automation.
  • Analytical, structured, and solution-focused working style.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
  • Broad, strategic, and entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Strong ownership and a reliable, trust-building approach.
  • Willingness to model the company’s values, standards, and expectations.
  • Ability to develop employees and encourage ownership.
