General Manager, Marketing & E-commerce Growth (Remote - Peru)

Lead HoopStars, a Toronto-based youth basketball business, with responsibility for e-commerce growth, marketing, revenue, and profitable operations. Build Community Sports Partners’ marketing function across its portfolio of brands.

Description

  • Own HoopStars’ business plan, budget, revenue, profitability, and cash forecasts
  • Direct sales and operations to keep programs, coaches, venues, and service quality aligned with demand
  • Optimize paid search, social advertising, creative, landing pages, enrollment funnels, pricing, offers, referrals, and retention
  • Develop the parent company’s marketing team across its brands
  • Set team structures, hire specialists, engage contractors or agencies, and manage priorities and performance
  • Link campaign results to customer acquisition, repeat enrollment, and contribution profit
  • Direct marketing investment through dependable reporting and structured testing
  • Review advertising accounts, identify funnel issues, and support improvement launches
  • Build an understanding of customers, operations, and economics during the first 90 days
  • Assess marketing across brands, establish reporting, recommend team and hiring priorities, and launch growth experiments
  • Make routine HoopStars business decisions within agreed authority
  • Deliver clear weekly updates, escalate exceptional matters, and contribute to monthly business reviews

Requirements

  • Proven results in paid acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Commercial ownership extending beyond a marketing budget, including pricing, margins, staffing, forecasts, or business profitability
  • Experience hiring and leading marketers, creatives, agencies, or other specialists
  • Ability to apply e-commerce approaches to a service business with real delivery capacity and customer commitments
  • Willingness to handle hands-on work while developing people and systems
  • Strong professional English and effective remote leadership skills
  • Experience in youth sports, education, fitness, memberships, or multi-location services is useful
  • A track record of building a profitable business and effective team is the strongest qualification
  • CV outlining a business or brand you grew, including spending, results, and your personal contribution
  • Description of a team you built or managed
  • Description of a commercial decision that failed and the changes you made afterward
  • Completion of the Culture Index survey
  • Completion of the Criteria GAME assessment in English
