Executive Search Summer Intern

Paid summer internship at Egon Zehnder supporting executive search research, market mapping, and candidate identification. The program includes search materials, mentorship, training, and a practical capstone project across U.S. offices.

Description

  • Contribute to live executive searches through company and industry research, market mapping, and candidate identification
  • Develop and update target-company and candidate lists with firm resources and research tools
  • Evaluate and synthesize information to support search strategy, team discussions, and decisions
  • Draft internal and client-facing materials such as research summaries, profiles, presentations, trackers, and related documents
  • Join search-team discussions and observe selected consultant or client conversations
  • Support projects across multiple industries and practice areas
  • Develop relationships with research mentors, consulting mentors, and colleagues throughout the firm
  • Complete structured onboarding and training in executive search, firm tools, research, search execution, and professional development
  • Deliver a capstone project that addresses a real business need with a practical, reusable outcome

Requirements

  • Be a current college junior who will enter senior year after the internship
  • Be eligible for a Summer 2027 internship
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Have authorization to work in the United States
  • Demonstrate strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Communicate clearly in writing and conversation
  • Exercise careful judgment and attention to detail when handling confidential information
  • Manage competing priorities and collaborate with multiple teams
  • Show initiative and professionalism in a varied project environment
  • Be willing to ask questions, seek feedback, and learn through hands-on experience and observation
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency is preferred
