Executive Director, Pharmacovigilance Systems Enablement

Regeneron is seeking an executive leader to shape pharmacovigilance systems, data architecture, AI capabilities, and modernization across Global Patient Safety. This role leads compliant technology strategy, roadmap development, and cross-functional delivery.

Description

  • Provide pharmacovigilance expertise on safety data, processes, and regulations across Global Patient Safety
  • Set the long-term strategy for PV systems, technology, data architecture, and AI-enabled capabilities
  • Work with GD-IT and other technology teams to deliver the roadmap
  • Establish and communicate the function’s vision and strategy in line with enterprise objectives and business priorities
  • Partner with GPS functional leaders to align priorities and create an integrated roadmap
  • Set GPS roadmap requirements, priorities, and dependencies
  • Maintain the GPS PV systems roadmap while balancing modernization, sustainability, and regulatory compliance
  • Find opportunities for AI and advanced analytics in PV processes and guide solution design, validation, and implementation
  • Review and prioritize AI use cases at the domain level with the enterprise AI Center of Excellence
  • Oversee AI deployment and user adoption across GPS, including compliance and responsible use
  • Ensure PV systems and operating practices meet GxP, validation, and data integrity standards
  • Convert business needs into PV systems specifications
  • Provide strategic direction for safety databases, signal detection tools, and analytics platforms
  • Act as the primary GPS contact for enterprise technology partners
  • Manage system vendor performance, contracts, and modernization project delivery
  • Build, develop, and expand a high-performing team
  • Lead talent planning and leadership development programs
  • Align cross-functional leaders around PV priorities and enterprise outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred
  • At least 17 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, safety systems, PV modernization, data science, or AI-enabled capabilities within the life sciences industry
  • Extensive knowledge of PV processes and systems, including safety databases, signal detection tools, and reporting platforms
  • Strong understanding of AI and advanced analytics in regulated PV environments
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and design PV systems and AI-enabled solutions that meet global regulatory and quality standards
  • Proven success modernizing PV systems and safety operations, including deploying AI-enabled or other new PV capabilities in regulated settings
  • Experience directing cross-functional programs involving Safety, IT, and data or AI teams
  • Familiarity with AI governance, validation, and compliance requirements for PV systems in regulated environments
