Bilingual Transfer Supervisor

Lead Aviso Wealth’s bilingual Transfers team within a Canadian wealth management and investment services provider. Oversee operations, staff performance, service standards, and departmental projects.

Description

  • Lead the Transfers team, allocate workloads, and ensure daily deadlines are met.
  • Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and schedule team members.
  • Manage onboarding, team integration, career planning, and professional development.
  • Set and monitor departmental standards and procedures for quality, accuracy, efficiency, and service-level compliance.
  • Build a positive workplace and provide leadership to employees, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Support employee training, development, engagement, and career progression.
  • Maintain current processes and procedures in internal and external manuals.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications while working with vendors and trustees.
  • Assess business practices, propose improvements, and simplify workflows.
  • Lead departmental projects and contribute to divisional initiatives.
  • Help employees resolve complex issues while sustaining customer service standards.
  • Anticipate staffing and training requirements, including cross-training needs.
  • Review and authorize daily journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly service-level reports and develop action plans for peak-volume periods.
  • Track industry developments and standards, registered plan products, CDS NELTC services, and CIRO and MFDA requirements.
  • Work with management to prepare process and procedure reports for auditors.

Requirements

  • Postsecondary education and ongoing education related to investment-industry operations.
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulations; IFIC or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completion is an asset.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible investment-industry experience, including one to two years in supervision.
  • Proven delegation, organization, time management, and administrative capabilities.
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability while handling multiple priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and prompt issue-resolution ability.
  • Strong personal drive to meet objectives.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access; advanced Excel knowledge is an asset.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in both French and English.
