Associate Account Manager, Waste Services

Description

  • Build and retain relationships with commercial and industrial waste-service customers in an assigned territory.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to retain smaller, less complex commercial and industrial accounts.
  • Grow customer accounts by selling the full range of Republic Services products.
  • Contact existing customers each day.
  • Stay informed about available services, business lines, pricing, and offers.
  • Complete contract renewals to extend customer relationships and improve profitability.
  • Address cancellation requests under the established escalation policy.
  • Respond to customer questions about company pricing initiatives.
  • Use Salesforce daily to schedule and document calls, meetings, and proposals.
  • Record customer emails and help limit rate restrictions and customer credits.
  • Review retention work, relationship activity, progress toward goals, and key accounts with the Sales Manager regularly.
  • Carry out other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Zero to two years of customer service experience required.
  • Experience in the waste or transportation industry preferred.
