Tavsif

  • Plan and deliver technical projects from start to finish.
  • Work with Product, UX, and other stakeholders to set priorities.
  • Set technical direction and keep delivery on track.
  • Coach team members and support their growth and well-being through clear feedback and development opportunities.
  • Lead two development teams working on the FME Engine.
  • Develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and professional growth support.
  • Own the product backlog for both teams.
  • Prioritize features and internal improvements in the backlog.
  • Coordinate technical delivery, manage project flow, and surface risks early.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions.
  • Create an inclusive, collaborative team culture built on shared ownership.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and team expansion.
  • Improve tools, practices, communication, and the use of AI-assisted workflows.
  • Connect the teams with the wider organization and represent team and business needs.

Talablar

  • At least seven years of software development experience.
  • At least three years leading software teams as a people manager, team lead, or in a similar role.
  • Direct people management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of Agile development practices and software system design.
  • Strong working knowledge of C++.
  • Experience as a product owner in an Agile environment, including backlog management and feature prioritization.
  • Practical experience adopting AI tools within a development team, along with a demonstrated interest in their use.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with empathy and clarity.
  • Ability to support team health and build inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Ability to balance technical direction with team and business priorities.
  • Python experience, particularly with test frameworks, is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Safe Software’s platform or similar technical fields is an asset.
  • Experience with mentoring, DEI, or culture-building initiatives is an asset.
  • Knowledge of hiring, onboarding, and team-building practices is an asset.
  • Experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot is an asset.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
