Senior Legal Counsel, Employment Law — Austin Hybrid
Advise Papaya Global on global employment law, commercial contracts, litigation, and AI-supported legal operations. Partner across teams and jurisdictions to manage legal risk and support workforce and business needs.
Tavsif
- Manage global employment matters and act as the primary contact for labor and employment law issues, including litigation.
- Advise on recruiting, hiring, performance management, terminations, compensation, and restrictive covenants.
- Draft, revise, and advise on employment, contractor, and separation agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate client, partner, vendor, and third-party contracts, including services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, and SaaS agreements.
- Explain employment law requirements and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with global partners on employment-related legal matters.
- Coordinate clients’ legal and commercial requirements with related legal considerations.
- Support Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success on a broad range of legal issues.
- Provide general corporate law advice when needed.
- Use AI tools for contract analysis, legal drafting, employment law research, and synthesizing requirements across jurisdictions.
- Apply AI-assisted methods to strengthen consistency, efficiency, quality, knowledge management, and internal legal operations while preserving accuracy and professional judgment.
Talablar
- US-qualified attorney or lawyer.
- At least four years of in-house counsel experience in a high-tech or fintech company, along with experience practicing at a prominent law firm.
- Expert knowledge of local and international labor and employment law.
- Human resources or related experience is advantageous.
- Litigation experience is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with self-motivation and persistence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with a global customer base in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to explain legal issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
