Tavsif

  • Handle and document inpatient and outpatient prior authorization requests in line with Humana policies and procedures.
  • Reach out to providers by phone or fax to obtain missing details or clarification.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers and providers on prior authorization request status.
  • Respond to provider calls about the status of prior authorization requests.
  • Record prior authorization requests in the TruCare database.
  • Prepare records and route tasks to the appropriate staff for clinical review.
  • Balance multiple stakeholder needs throughout the workday.

Talablar

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare or health plan setting.
  • One to two years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • At least one year of customer service experience handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Available to work 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, with limited availability for rotating holiday coverage.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in prior authorization or utilization management.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a health insurance environment.
  • Preferred: Residence in Wisconsin.
  • Home internet service with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
  • A dedicated home workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
