  • Lead the Group’s month-end close.
  • Manage bookkeeping and month-end activities for operating subsidiaries in the UK, Aruba, Curaçao, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, along with multiple homeowner associations.
  • Complete monthly bank and balance-sheet reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
  • Prepare and review recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
  • Close and lock QuickBooks Online after each month-end, with Finance Director approval required for reopening.
  • Review remote bookkeepers’ invoice coding, payment instructions, bank uploads, and draft journals.
  • Strengthen segregation of duties, invoice-approval controls, and independent authorization processes.
  • Coach team members, address recurring errors, and improve finance processes.
  • Coordinate outsourced local accountants handling payroll and tax calculations.
  • Prepare annual accounts and statutory reports for homeowner associations with local auditors and advisers.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar covering five tax regimes.
  • Deliver dependable figures for management reporting, monthly finance reviews, and budgeting.
  • Support HOA budget preparation and answer finance questions from HOA boards and owners.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from banks, payment providers, and insurers, including KYC materials and reporting packs.
  • Help develop an AI-enabled finance function through automation and documentation.

Talablar

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or an equivalent European qualification.
  • At least five years of accounting experience, including two or more years as a senior accountant, group accountant, or assistant controller.
  • Practical experience managing month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations for a multi-entity, multi-currency group.
  • Experience reviewing colleagues’ work and maintaining high team standards.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable cloud accounting platform such as Xero, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct.
  • Confidence managing external accountants and advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Availability during UK business hours.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Organised, self-directed, and composed under deadlines in a fully remote environment.
  • Experience in hospitality, vacation rentals, property management, or HOA/service-charge accounting is preferred.
  • Exposure to Caribbean or offshore tax regimes is preferred.
  • Experience establishing accounting operations for new entities or markets is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Dutch or Spanish is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Dext, Hostaway, or finance automation tools is preferred.
