Development Coordinator, Fundraising Operations

Coordinate donor records, stewardship, grant administration, and fundraising events for DreamYard, a Bronx arts and youth organization. Support fundraising strategy, reporting, and contributed revenue reconciliation.

Opis

  • Coordinate fundraising operations, individual giving, donor stewardship, grant administration, and events.
  • Keep donor, prospect, institutional, event, gift, and engagement records accurate and complete in Little Green Light.
  • Process gifts and document contribution details, coding, and donor information.
  • Audit the database and correct duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent records.
  • Spot data gaps and improve development tracking and workflows.
  • Prepare donor acknowledgements, tax receipts, and stewardship correspondence.
  • Maintain donor cultivation and stewardship plans and record donor interactions.
  • Help run annual and special giving campaigns, from list segmentation and mailings to digital appeals and response tracking.
  • Research donors and prospects and help identify potential supporters.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, donor histories, prospect profiles, and briefing materials.
  • Assist donor cultivation and stewardship through communications, visits, small gatherings, and special events.
  • Maintain grant records, agreements, budgets, reporting requirements, and supporting documents.
  • Monitor grant deliverables and reporting deadlines, flagging upcoming needs.
  • Work with Program, Finance, and other staff to gather proposal and reporting information.
  • Help prepare and submit proposals and reports, and research funders.
  • Keep organizational documents and standard application materials current.
  • Support development cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events, including the annual gala.
  • Manage event records, guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, donor and sponsorship details, and post-event follow-up.
  • Reconcile contributed revenue with the Director of Development and Finance team.
  • Track restricted grants, pledges, payments, and other contributed income.
  • Maintain records required for audits and financial reporting.
  • Take on other duties assigned by management.

Zahteve

  • At least one year of experience in nonprofit administration, development, fundraising operations, grant management, database administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce, Tessitura, Little Green Light, or Raiser’s Edge.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling highly confidential information.
  • Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Careful attention to detail and a commitment to accurate records and data integrity.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Proof of vaccination is required under DreamYard’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol.
