  • Facilitate a complex Agile Release Train (ART) as its primary servant leader.
  • Run ART events such as PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshops.
  • Prepare for PI Planning through continuous exploration, roadmap alignment, backlog refinement, and pre- and post-planning work.
  • Coach and influence Scrum Masters, Product Owners, technical teams, business partners, and leaders in Lean-Agile practices.
  • Align strategic objectives with execution alongside Product Management, Product Owners, Solution Management, and stakeholders.
  • Identify, manage, and help resolve program dependencies, risks, and impediments.
  • Advance continuous improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops and related initiatives.
  • Build collaboration across teams, architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders.
  • Assess ART performance using Agile metrics, dashboards, and program health indicators.
  • Help develop value streams and mature Agile delivery practices.
  • Promote Communities of Practice, engineering excellence, and built-in quality.
  • Keep teams focused on quality, predictable delivery, continuous delivery, and business outcomes.
  • Work with Agility Enablement to improve program execution, operational excellence, and Agile maturity.
  • Set priorities independently, manage competing demands, and guide work across multiple teams.
  • Travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings, if required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • At least 7 years of related experience.
  • At least 5 years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Release Train Engineer, or similar Agile leader supporting large, technically complex initiatives.
  • Extensive experience leading Agile Release Trains in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
  • Current SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or comparable SAFe certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean-Agile principles.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex programs and value streams across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior leaders, business stakeholders, product teams, portfolio management, and technology organizations.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and strong customer and business outcomes.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Advanced skills with Agile Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira Align and Azure DevOps.
  • Preferred: Advanced Agile certifications such as ASM, A-SPC, CSP-SM, A-CSM, or PSM III.
  • Preferred: Agile coaching certifications such as ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, or Certified Team Coach (CTC).
  • Preferred: Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or related process improvement certifications.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern product delivery practices.
  • Preferred: Experience leading enterprise-scale Agile transformations and organizational change.
  • Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
  • A dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
