Build Azure and HPCC data pipelines for LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Develop scalable platforms that support risk analytics, reporting, and operational data needs.

Description

  • Create and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure storage services
  • Load data from relational databases, APIs, and file-based sources into Azure data platforms
  • Transform data on HPCC with ECL and in Azure with Spark SQL and PySpark through Azure Databricks
  • Develop, maintain, and improve Azure Databricks notebooks and jobs
  • Build efficient Spark workloads for processing large datasets
  • Create data models on HPCC with ECL and in Delta Lake, Parquet, and other columnar formats
  • Tune ECL, SQL, and Spark workloads for stronger performance and scalability
  • Work with business analysts, data scientists, and application teams to clarify data needs and advance engineering practices
  • Develop and refine reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise data platforms and pipelines
  • Provide data solutions for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strength in SQL and data transformation logic
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing principles and ETL/ELT patterns
  • Practical experience with Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, and PySpark
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Azure SQL or Synapse
  • Experience handling large structured and semi-structured datasets
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices
  • A constructive mindset and willingness to learn new tools and processes
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development best practices
  • Ability to gather, clarify, and document requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology
