Senior Strategic Consultant, Banking Conversions (Florida Remote)

Senior strategic consultant supporting financial institutions through core banking, digital banking, and related technology conversions. Leads vendor selection, project delivery, risk management, and client strategy for Engage fi.

Description

  • Serve Engage fi clients as a strategic partner, advisor, and subject matter expert
  • Support conversion, implementation, and merger initiatives spanning core banking, online, mobile, and digital banking, account opening and origination, and related vendors and systems
  • Strengthen client relationships by assessing needs, recommending solutions, and coordinating with internal stakeholders
  • Lead complex client projects using industry best practices to deliver strategies and reduce risk
  • Create, tailor, and maintain project materials, including RFPs and project timelines
  • Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets in line with plans or statements of work
  • Lead project workshops, vendor sessions, meetings, communications, and other key project events
  • Apply subject matter expertise while tracking, resolving, and escalating project risks, gaps, and issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic vendors
  • Monitor financial industry trends, solution demonstrations, vendor developments, competitors, system updates, and functionality
  • Represent client and Engage fi priorities during vendor engagements
  • Support the review, improvement, implementation, and enhancement of project materials and tools
  • Use technology within processes to improve efficiency and create value
  • Track project billing hours and budgets
  • Mentor and train Engage fi team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent related experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in credit unions, banking, payments, or a related vendor industry
  • Preference for prior leadership experience, project oversight or management expertise, and familiarity with core banking conversions
  • In-depth knowledge of core banking and related vendors, solutions, tools, and processes
  • Track record of completing technology vendor-selection projects involving product and custom solutions
  • Strong understanding of vendor technology contracts, general business contract terms, and proposal pricing analysis and comparisons
  • Ability to manage external vendors and clients or customers, including their employees, consultants, and designated subcontractors
  • Experience facilitating creative problem-solving sessions with leadership teams across different business disciplines
  • Ability to present complex solutions to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and CRM platforms
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver presentations and training and facilitate discussions with clients, vendors, and third parties
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize work effectively
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a highly collaborative environment
  • Comfort with extended periods of desk-based computer work
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
