Senior Program Manager, Clinical Trainee Events

Lead Talkiatry’s nationwide recruitment events and clinician pipeline, building relationships with psychiatry training programs. Develop and deliver scalable events that connect residents and fellows with a mental health care provider.

Description

  • Shape and run nationwide recruitment events for psychiatrists and APPs.
  • Develop relationships with psychiatry residencies and fellowships, program directors, faculty, and trainees.
  • Expand a national portfolio of target programs using program size, specialty, and location.
  • Organize dinners, social gatherings, virtual sessions, career events, open houses, networking events, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Introduce clinicians to clinical education, Talkiatry’s practice management approach, incentives, and transition-to-practice pathway.
  • Sustain connections with program leaders throughout the recruitment process.
  • Record contacts and outreach activity in ATS and CRM platforms.
  • Work with marketing on presentations, collateral, e-invitations, content, copy, scripts, editing, and social media.
  • Manage events from start to finish, including schedules, technical needs, budgets, vendors, contracts, registration, staffing, catering, promotional items, materials, lead capture, packing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate conference schedules, agendas, records, booth selection and payments, and follow-up actions.
  • Report event costs and results after each event to assess ROI and guide future plans.
  • Surpass the annual target of more than 30 successful events.
  • Work with clinical leaders and the National Residency Team to attract psychiatrist and APP candidates.
  • Support residents and fellows through interviews, contracts, and onboarding.
  • Assist company-wide with marketing, job board administration, invoicing, and contract renewals.
  • Coordinate regularly with vendors and recruitment management teams.
  • Travel as needed to residency and fellowship events and conferences.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, human resources, or a related area, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6–8 years of talent attraction experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in trainee outreach, healthcare, physician recruitment, or clinical or medical education is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, CRM or database tools, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight and multi-day trips across the country.
  • Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Experience recruiting physicians or APPs, ideally in psychiatry, behavioral health, or a related clinical area.
  • Experience designing and managing strategic events, owning budgets, and negotiating with vendors and on contracts.
  • Experience building relationships with residents, fellows, program directors, faculty, and clinical leaders.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, PracticeMatch, other job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to produce data-informed insights and recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple events, schedules, and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Marketing knowledge, including social media, content creation, and campaign copywriting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to represent the organization at conferences and trade shows.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region and nationally.
  • Recruiting experience is strongly preferred; a clinical or physician recruiter background is a significant advantage.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
