Mid-Level Software Engineer — London Hybrid

Build backend and cloud-native software for FundApps, whose products monitor more than US$20 trillion in assets under management. Help deliver sustainable technology across a distributed platform using C#, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, React, and TypeScript.

Description

  • Build products that monitor more than US$20 trillion in assets under management
  • Deliver innovative software quickly while accounting for sustainability
  • Own engineering work and contribute to the company’s success
  • Use technology to address business challenges
  • Contribute across products and technical services
  • Advance the codebase and core technology toward distributed, cloud-native, resource-efficient, and cost-effective systems
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and colleagues across the company
  • Release software several times each day
  • Contribute to technical discussions, brainstorming, feedback, and team conversations
  • Improve code, processes, practices, workflows, and automation
  • Work within a Kanban-inspired agile delivery model
  • Develop with technologies including C#, PostgreSQL, AWS, Terraform, React, and TypeScript

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
  • Mid-level experience in software engineering
  • Broad understanding of product development, including software design, product requirements, and work breakdown
  • Understanding of agile practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and architecture
  • Able to solve clearly defined problems independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable writing software in C#, Java, or Python
  • Able to work effectively with ambiguity and changing requirements
  • Willing to request and provide constructive feedback
  • Able to build strong relationships and challenge colleagues respectfully
  • Able to communicate progress, updates, and blockers clearly
  • Experience improving code, processes, and engineering practices, or willingness to develop these skills
  • Experience automating manual work, or willingness to do so
