IT Service Manager, HR, QHSE and Analytics – Valmet

Lead the development and lifecycle management of payroll, time management, QHSE and HR applications at Valmet. Coordinate integrations, vendors, stakeholders and business process improvements across global IT services.

Description

  • Develop and standardize Valmet’s global payroll and time management solutions
  • Manage payroll and time and attendance applications, including integrations with PCC, finance and other systems
  • Support the transition from local applications to global solutions
  • Serve as the primary IT partner for PCC, Payroll and QHSE stakeholders
  • Contribute to the design, development and testing of IT solutions
  • Manage applications and services throughout their full lifecycle, from design and implementation to operation and retirement
  • Coordinate development priorities with stakeholders and Valmet’s IT strategy
  • Represent IT in business process and capability development
  • Maintain roadmaps and development plans with the Domain Lead and Enterprise Architect
  • Provide subject matter expertise in QHSE, Payroll and Time Management
  • Work with vendors to deliver development initiatives and support services efficiently and on schedule
  • Report to the Director of the IT Management Processes Domain

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of professional experience with relevant IT solutions
  • Strong Finnish language proficiency for work involving time and attendance systems and Finnish working time legislation
  • Skills in service management, solution development and project management
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and motivation to enhance operating practices
  • Knowledge of QHSE and PCC processes, requirements and their effects on IT processes
  • Solid understanding of payroll and time management processes, including data flows, integrations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with global IT functions and services is an advantage
  • Studies in IT management are an advantage
  • Experience with SpheraCloud, Nepton or payroll platforms such as Mepco or CGI Payroll is an advantage
  • Background in implementing or upgrading payroll and time management systems, or in vendor-managed payroll services, is an advantage
